Nick Wright is your typical opinion-based sports talk show host these days:
They often pontificate about things they pay little attention to, like college basketball pre-March, and they know if they back up their words with false bravado and just enough generalized truth that most watchers/listeners will go along with them because they "sound" authoritative. He is one of those quintessential hot-take talking loud mouths who hit the lottery when Colin Cowherd decided he liked his schtick enough to give him a weekly segment.
He has been on Cowherd's shows at least once a week for years, and he constantly says stupid, uneducated things about sports he does not follow enough but figures he can get away with it by being loud (often even over the top) in his declarations.
The truth is that he is often ignorant and doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. This take here on this UConn team is a perfect example.
