How are things BL?

I for one am thrilled that things are getting interesting at the top of the conference.

Out of curiosity, did you stretch out the word race for dramatic effect?

Problem isn't necessarily catching St. John's, it's that we have to pass 3 different teams. We will need to beat St. John's and have them lose another game... but it can't be to Creighton (unless the Bluejays lose at Xavier).

If we win out and Marquette beats St. John's on the last game of the season, that would probably do it.

We really need the Johnnies to beat Creighton since the Jays won their first matchup. if we go head-to-head with Creighton in either a two team or three team tiebreaker scenario, the two wins vs St. Johns is likely the clincher for them. If they split and we beat Marquette, however, that sweep could be the clincher for us. After head-to-head, the next tiebreaker becomes record vs each team going in reverse down the standings.

Tiebreakers determine seeding in the Big East tournament. They do not change where you finish the season. If there is a tie at the top, you have co-champions.

St Johns loses to ‘Nova. We’re only 2 back in the loss column, and we have another shot at them. Win in Jersey Saturday, try to get Diarra some rest and pray that Karaban comes out of his shooting slump.
You’re welcome

Just take care of business against Seton Hall and we'll gain ground on Creighton or St Johns.

For me getting a decent seeding 5 or 6 or lower is what is important. We all saw Marquette win the Be tourney a couple years ago, so what?
We have not been at full strength and probably won’t be but if Hurley can figure out this position less thing for the tourney by having our best players on the floor then who cares?
Each opponent will require a different formula. We got by Marquette without a point guard and maybe we can do it against St. John’s, but playing competitively against top teams is it whether we finish first or not.
