The only reason being laid out was by Schiano who was likely telling his admins to try to avoid the 0-8 Season headed their way.

This year is house money. No one is losing eligibility by playing. Be it 3, 6, or 12 games. UConn players and play callers would benefit from as many live reps as they can get. As for lifting weights you do realize that every school at the P5 Level runs a legit S&C Program? I'm pretty sure Purdue's Kids have seen the inside of a weight room. What Crazy Bob does on D will be mostly irrelevant, as beating Purdue has been and will remain about stopping the offense for the foreseeable future.
