Good for them. I like these small meet and greets. It gives the players a little bit of money and it gives the fans a little bit of access. It's a win-win.

But it says it's not a meet and greet. So what is this? People go to watch them eat chicken for ten minutes before they drive back to campus?

I went to one of these last year for the Men’s team & basically they say this to deter people from bringing items to be signed.

They usually put the players behind the counter for a few minutes to “take orders” for photo ops, then they will come out & meet with the fans.

Well, "words mean things." It says it's not a "official" meet and greet. Meaning that it is not sanctioned by the university. But, if you want to meet and talk to Azzi or KK face-to-face, it seems like a great opportunity for access with the players. It's tough to complain about that. The fact that it's going to put a few dollars in each of their pockets is tough to complain about as well.

When I was playing college ball back in the Dark Ages, I took an off-season job working for McDonald’s. I guess times haven’t changed that much… :)

Hmmm, never heard of Raisin' Canes. And I get down to Enfield quite often. Looked at their menu.....4 chicken fingers or 6 chicken fingers or 3 chicken fingers. Or a chicken sandwich. For kids...2 chicken fingers. And that's pretty much it.

Better like chicken fingers if you're going there.

Of course, they weren't actually balls back then, they were rocks. In fact, the phrase "throw me the rock" hangs on until this day. There weren't actually basketball courts since there weren't a lot of structures so all games were played outdoors and during the game there was always the risk of being eaten by a large predator. That was the reason why they originally emphasized keeping the ball in the center of the court. Pretty much anywhere along the sidelines was risky.

Those were good days!
;)

That’s an exaggeration. We played with real basketballs that we shot at real baskets. Although you had to have someone with a ladder to get the ball out of the peach basket whenever anyone made a shot……..;)

How many fingers does a chicken really have?

If anyone could make eating chicken entertaining, it would be KK.

Edited to add this terrible joke: Will that be gamecock they'll be serving at Raising Cane's?
And restaurants in the South are reportedly having problems, with massive.....Gamecockroach.....invasions...., which supposedly started around 2017..., and specifically at 17 Bojangles restaurants located in the Columbia, S.C. Colonial Life Arena.
A good defense against them are the " Fudd Around and Find Out, " GCR sprays, especially the strong, "killer" " Corner 3-Pointers" version...., sold for "$35" .....each....
