Azura Stevens Height??? A lot of controversy!!!!

Stevens is #8 Wilson is #14 Cox is #13 Anigwe is #15

The pic is a little odd in that the commonly accepted heights don't look right:

Wilson 6'5"
Anigwe 6'4"
Cox 6'4"

A'ja Wilson looks 6'3", perhaps because she is slouching a bit.

Azura looks to be either 6'5" or 6'6". She appears to be about 5" taller than Napheesa's 6'1". Though Crystal is kneeling, I'm pretty sure that Azura is taller than CD.

I'd like to see Azura next to Stef Dolson or Imani Boyette.

It's not a perfect measurement but I generally look at the shoulders of players in pics to get an accurate measure of size because they're not blocking shots with their heads or necks!

Considering that Azura's looks to have a good couple of inches on everyone else.

Wingspan would be a better gauge of the impact their size has so it's a shame nobody seems to collect that data at the college or pro level, at least that I'm aware of.

Oh golly, I remember seeing somewhere that Dangerfield was shorter than Moriah, but I had no idea how short, the top of her head only reaches to about Dawn Staley's waist and I know Dawn was a pretty average size point guard!
And she only has one leg! How did she get so highly rated?!

Wanna watch Duke lose to UConn, and have AZ win the tip over Stewie and dwarf Elisabeth Williams, go to the thread about EZ full game. I really don't know why she didn't transfer after that game.

I believe you must wait until she is pictured in a UCONN garb next to another UCONN player of questionable height before you guess her approximate height. Any thing earlier than that is just fodder for height controversy... which The Boneyard does not allow...I think.

In my brain I can see Azura in a Uconn Uniform--she looks taller--10 maybe 11 ft tall--but a Uconn Uniform will do that to ya..

I still resent that Williams was chosen first before Kiah or got DPOY--which was owned by Kiah. When Uconn played Duke--Kiah ate her for breakfast. And Williams has been transferred--too bad she never was a Kiah.. It helps to have a Pro coach willing to spend the time working with ya---it has made Kiah bloom..
