That’s exactly what they just announced, that she’s unavailable for the BE tournament but expected back for NCAAs.It was just reported that they are sitting her for precautionary reasons due to some “knee soreness”. So, would imagine she doesn’t play the entire Big East Tournament to ensure she’s 100% for the NCAA Tourny.
And if it was Fanta or the other announcer that said the entire BET vs, just today, take it with a grain of salt. That’s exactly what they just announced, that she’s unavailable for the BE tournament but expected back for NCAAs.
Hoping for the best because even limited to 12-15 minutes a game AG is a massive difference maker — and obviously the priority is to protect her health and her career - but having to rest such a great player for the entire BE tournament for “knee soreness” is not a great sign.
and playing her in the first 2 NCAA games, only if absolutely necessary.Good move sitting her with these consecutive days games. Save her for when we really need her in the NCAA's. No consecutive days there.
I think you have to play Aubrey in the first 2 NCAA games, at least a little, in order for her to be sharp for the Regionals and hopefully the FF. You also need the rest of the team to be comfortable with Aubrey as a part of the rotation.and playing her in the first 2 NCAA games, only if absolutely necessary.
Unfortunately, could be the initial stages of another wicked passah for the team & especially for her.
I know, Debbie Downer.
Keeping Aubs out for the BET is not a bad thing. Knees can be fickle, and since they won't be playing in the NCAAT until March 21 or 22, that's another 11 days for her to get rest, do some pre-hab, aka, preventative rehab. I'd rather have her at 100% than risk it in the BET.I expect thumbs down for the above...that's OK
