Geno has said mid-January. So a few more weeks. She has to go thru contact drills first.

Caroline… there’s been nothing about.

On Saturday Aubrey participated in pregame warmups except for the final short one - they come out with about three minutes to go for that one, really not much to it and only the starters are getting shots up at that point.

She seems to be moving ok, not going real hard, but what I see FWIW is her favoring her left leg ever so slightly.

The schedule is very soft until early February so it doesn’t really matter much if it is early or mid January.

If she is close to 100% by March she will be a huge difference maker. Best athlete on the team.

Azzi, perhaps by sheer coincidence, was Nov 20, exactly one year from her surgery date. That was the game against Fairleigh Dickinson, “Geno night”, when he surpassed Tara.

It was in the Creighton game last year that Aubrey suffered the ACL tear, Jan 3rd, surgery likely was within a week of that.

Providence is Dec 29
Marquette is New Year’s Day
Villanova is Jan 5
Xavier is Jan 8

Would Azzi be wearing a knee brace to see her come into to play in the future games to prevent any future knee damage

I'd be very happy with a mid-January return. Aubrey could be the igniter that elevates the team. I suspect it'll take her 3 or 4 games to lose the rust, but I'll be happy if she's fully functional and contributing in a big way by late january.

I love Caroline and we certainly can use her. But, there's a part of me that hopes she doesn't return, strictly from from a long term health standpoint. Head injuries are no joke. On the other hand, her doctors, Geno or anyone else involved with her rehab/recovery would not let her play if it jeopardized her health and well being. They know best, not me. I'm just stuck in parent mode, I guess.
