i read a maggie story today and saw an assertion that the uconn women have been 'fully healthy for the first time in years.'
while the narrative is good, the facts are wrong. media should always get the facts right if the facts are known. in this case, they are.
the huskies have not been 'fully healthy' this season. in fact, morgan cheli has not played at all and ice brady has been injured and
unavailable after the first couple of games in november. of course, throughout the year, others have missed games because of lesser injuries.
those are facts the media is too lazy to put forth, preferring the EASIER narrative.
what's wrong with accuracy? anything else -- especially when the truth is plainly evident (though perhaps more difficult to put into words) -- undermines the credibility of the journalism.
i would have sent this message directly to maggie if her publication explained how. maybe some BYer knows and can pass it along.
