Must've been a Houston fan. Did you trample her on the way to the field?I swore and got yelled at by an elderly lady late in the 4th quarter. I felt like a jerk and apologized to her. . Then I stormed the field.
First night game against Pitt was pretty loud.Loudest the Rent has been since...?
uconnkelly said:The gray lot was fuller than any other game this season, so I had some hope for a fair crowd. The Rent was embarrassingly empty for the Senior Day ceremony and well into the first quarter. It looked too much like this week's UCF game for a little too long. The crowd filled in during Q1. Security at the entrances didn't seem any more intense than previous home games, so that shouldn't have delayed fans.
I walked in from the gray lot just before kickoff as I came from the basketball game on campus. I am usually in my seat 15 minutes prior to the game starting so I was somewhat disappointed at the amount of folks that simply didn't care what time they went in. They were not there for football at all. I love tailgating but I am there for the game. There were hundreds of fans just playing cornhole, hanging around, etc. I don't think that will change and it is too bad for the kids on the field
Crowd looked and sounded great. Great job by all of you!
Quite frankly, I get it. However, as I said numerous times, we also need the casual fan. The serious fanbase is not big enough by itself in CT.I walked in from the gray lot just before kickoff as I came from the basketball game on campus. That was one of the best games ever in our stadium. I have no idea how many fans wound up showing up but the fans who did, really turned it into a true home field advantage.
businesslawyer said:This. It was not the same as the whole stadium being involved when it was full. But those who were there were incredibly involved from start to finish. And even in 241, a lot of folks were just standing on every defensive snap the fourth quarter.
They missed a great game.52,000 in New Haven

This guy was a clown. He did the same to people who watch the band pregame show.Don't forget the security manager with zero concept of the moment who moved everyone who was on the concourse above the lower bowl and cheering for the seniors back behind the red line when there was still 15 minutes to kick off.
Tailgating. How many actual watched the game?52,000 in New Haven
