According to the ESPN box score there were over 17000 at MSG for the
Liberty v. Dream game this afternoon.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but I don't recall ever seeing anything
like that number at a W game before.

A number of teams flirt with the 10000 mark, and LA may have exceeded it
from time to time, but 17K? Wow.

It was also reported to be 16,413 in attendance at the Min Lynx game this
afternoon. I recall them saying there was a special promotion today. It
looked like a lot of kids there so it might have been free for them.

The Chicago Sky game the other day also reported a huge attendance (like 15,000+). I thought it might be bogus given EDD's absence.

The WNBA has a great program in the summer for area summer camp for kids. Most teams fill the arena with screaming 6 - 16 year old campers; thus the large numbers.

Unfortunately a 1 game thing, and as per usual, I think the number is tickets distributed not bodies present.
