Attendance

Yeah another couple from CT I chatted with was saying how easy MSG is to get to

Boston from Storrs is not bad but it all comes down to where you live and where the game is and the money.

I dont even understand your point. TD Garden had an opening on a Saturday night in November. It hosts an NHL team, an NBA team, and concerts, etc. So there are not unlimited dates for this.

But no, let's not play it the same day as the football team. Let's move it to another day. Let's move it to a Tuesday night. I am sure we could get the same amount of fans in Boston on a weeknight. BYU also wouldnt mind playing during the week.

750 grand is not insignificant money. It was well done. Again, you are complaining about 2k. Its silly.
I did not advocate for a weeknight game in Boston, so please don’t mislead people. When you have a great opportunity in anything in life you should try to maximize them. As I said there are many variables in scheduling and perfection is not always possible but the best schedulers use these variables to their advantage more often than not. For example teams do switch home/home football games. Or switch a game to Friday night. The Boston to NY footprint at this time needs to take priority and every opportunity along these lines needs to be maximize.

The football team was 7-3 and playing a service academy that drew 30k while having 38k the week before because of the scheduling conflict. Any harm to the AD perception or look was due to the football draw, not basketball.

Our home away from home games at MSG are sensational. UConn fans fill the building, hence UConn fans love it

I've been to two games in Boston. Illinois in the Elite 8 and last Saturday vs BYU. UConn fans filled the building and we enjoyed it. I want to play games it both arenas every year going forward

The biggest difference in attendance is for fans from Fairfield County (should be obvious). They have it much easier getting to MSG. Storrs has absolutely nothing to do with it. We'll get the same number of students in both places, attendance at these games is about the adults.

As for me, I'm two hours from both arenas, depending on the traffic. (BTW: I avoid Fairfield County traffic like the black plague)

Can't wait for Black Friday

You are so predictable, Chief. You wouldn't last 5 minutes in the job.
