At some point during Saturday's game in London, there will undoubtedly be 5 former Huskies on the floor at the same time reresenting the USA and what a sight that will be. We have been very lucky to watch those 5 (who ever they may be) plus 1 other former Husky go on from college to represent the USA in the Olympic games.

Undoubtedly? Don't know about that, but 4 is probably a sure thing at some point (Sue, DT, Tina, Maya).

I think Geno will put 5 out there to make a point that overall , UCONN was and is the top program in womens BB. And it won't hurt recruiting.

I would be disappointed in Auriemma if that was his objective in playing 5 Huskies. Fortunately, the program speaks for itself without such stunts.

So far in games I think the most has been 4, and that has happened quite often. Generally Sue is going to be out there with the starters and Whalen with the second wave which will include Maya Tina and Cash/Jones with Angel.
I think Geno has left the college ranks behind and does not see his players as anything but USA basketball players - as it should be. If there were a particular situation that called for five ex-Uconn players it could happen, but I personally would be surprised.

Would really only make sense if there was foul trouble to other players.

Geno is the head coach of Team USA, and half of his team is UConn alumnae. Rarely, if ever, will there not be an alumna on the floor. The program is getting a ton of exposure.

My guess is that Geno may go out of his way NOT to have 5 Huskies on the floor at the same time. But, as noted, he will have 3 and 4 out there often.

I expect that this will be true.

I agree with Milford.

With the final seconds ticking off the clock in the gold medal game,
and the USA comfortably ahead, UConn fans would love to see those
2002 vets, Swin, Sue, Asjha, and Dee on the floor.

Everyone else would hate it, and Geno would never do it, IMO.
