Actually the teams being picked before sunday makes sense, the committee members have been doing nothing but evaluating these teams for the last few weeks and I would think by the final weekend with all the smaller tourneys done they know who is in and out. The last day is more than likely spent seeding the teams more than anything.

Yeah they should know by now who the at large teams are. I think there are only two bids that can be potentially stolen, if St Bonaventure beats Xavier and UCSB beats Long Beach State (not positive about this one). Then the last two at large teams would be moved off the bubble and Xavier and Long Beach State would be added as at large teams.

This may well be the first year this was ever done since you have the ultimate micro manager now heading up the committee. I can just imagine that everything from what the members ate and drank to the toilet paper used by the committee members was ok'd by good old Jeff during his stint as numbero uno.

Its going to be weird seeing him on the tube handling the inevitable "why'd you leave this team out" question tonight.
