I agree. I think next year she will average double digits in points, so that should get her there if UConn has its typical deep NCAA run. She's got a shot at being a 1,400 point career scorer. That's a decent threshold to make.
Ashlynn is by far my favorite Uconn player and I agree with you, 1400 points. Her ALL AROUND play is exciting to watch as she covers THE WHOLE FLOOR. In one of You Tubes videos of Ashlynn, she stated that ultimately she wanted to Coach. I think she would make an excellent coach having played 4 years at Uconn absorbing Geno's teachings. She has THE GRIT that makes a coach successful and the PASSION. Whatever Ashlynn chooses to do, I wish her all the luck in the world. GO ASHLYNN!!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!!!She's got a shot at being a 1,400 point career scorer. That's a decent threshold to make.
If KK reaches 900 in the hopefully 6 games remaining then we win the National Championship easilyAshlynn has 990 career points (KK has 813). Hopefully Ash hits 1000 in the 2 Gampel games.
And I agree with you. Ashlynn is my favorite player as well. Before the "Ash won't start next year" bovine scatology starts. This guy is sold on her. And his opinion is the only opinion that matters.Ashlynn is by far my favorite Uconn player and I agree with you, 1400 points.
Actually yes! Storma Norma SchwarzkopfBovine scatology a new transfer?

She already has. She's leading in minutes and her plus/minus is always near the top. We have plenty of people who score, we need the workhorses, and she's the best there is.We need the dynamic duo to step up their game for the championship. KK has done so. We need Ash to do the same and we WILL be successful.
Replying to the question of what's your name recruit? his reply is classic as well: "Forest Gump, my friends call me Forest Gump."I never tire of seeing this clip. She does what the coaches tell her to do. It’s reminiscent of the drill seargent asking Forrest Gump, what’s your purpose in the Army. “Whatever you tell me to do.” That scene and this clip of Geno are just wonderful.
You're correct KK has definitely stepped up her game and seems ready for the madness of March, Ash needs to do the same, she's not having a great month so far. We're going to need more from her if the team's going to win the championship 🏆 ....I have faith in her, let's go Ash!!We need the dynamic duo to step up their game for the championship. KK has done so. We need Ash to do the same and we WILL be successful.
Seems like ur throwing some subliminal shade ( no pun intended) there.Ashlynn has 990 career points (KK has 813). Hopefully Ash hits 1000 in the 2 Gampel games.

I think she’s as good if not better than Kaitlyn Chen.I don't think Ash gets enough credit for her athleticism. And she plays really hard.
I wonder whether she has a pro career ahead of her. I don't see her making the W, but could she play overseas for awhile and maybe make some coin before she embarks on her coaching career?
Interesting. Ash is certainly the better long-range shooter.I think she’s as good if not better than Kaitlyn Chen.
Ashlynn plays at champion ship level all season long!!! Geno say so.We need the dynamic duo to step up their game for the championship. KK has done so. We need Ash to do the same and we WILL be successful.
And will make great co-captains next year.Time for my annual post on this duo.
KK and ASH are the perfect college guard tandem. Classmates, teammates, midwestmates, both top 15/McD All-American, State player of the year preps and now top ncaa guards.
The classic tandem: Diana&Sue, Paige&Nika, Geno&Chris...
At UConn they reside just below the star level - as freshman with Paige/Nika, then add in Azzi and Sarah. Next year as seniors will be their time to shine...but with all our excellent guards K9, Allie, Morgan, Kelis, Blanca they will again be sharing a lot of minutes.
Both deserve to be in all American consideration, but probably won't be due UConn's depth...and they don't care as they are all about team winning.
We have been lucky to have them for 4 years and some WNBA team will be pleasantly surprised by the value they will bring in the draft next year.
Excited for this ncaa tourney, and way out there, for their senior year. 🥰
Agreed to disagree.Sorry, we’ve a bunch of injuries, you need to play and we are counting on you to be good!” Well, initially she was not good.
Nice post. It’s true that Ash’s offensive numbers are lower this season than last. But her defensive numbers are the same or better. This is clear from her winshares and dbpm. Steals and assists are up too.
What I see is a remarkably steady ‘glue’ player who fills in all the gaps for the team. The shape of the team has changed a lot in each of her seasons and she has changed with it. Any assessment of Ash’s career should probably take notice of this.
Who knows what Geno will need from Ash next season, but I’m confident she won’t let him down. That’s who she is. After Azzi and Serah move on, new faces will fill the gaps and create new opportunities. I suspect Sarah and Blanca will become the next super duo, assisted in the frontcourt by Jana and Olivia (and maybe even Ice Ayanna and Gandy), and the backcourt will push Ash and Allie even more into leadership roles, along with KK and Kayleigh. If all goes as I might wish, that now seasoned foursome will be assisted by Kelis Jovana and Morgan. Another deep roster seems possible with all new demands.
- First year, it was a thin roster that thrust her into prime time minutes she could scarcely be ready for when she arrived. And yet she stood tall and carried her share of the burden. Two stars (Nika and Aaliyah) and one superstar set the tone and Ash responded.
- Second year, it was a much stronger roster, now with three superstars (Paige Azzi and Sarah) and a strong guard cohort that she played a key role in. And with the deeper roster came a much more intense defensive scheme that she thrived in.
- Third year, one superstar moved on and the other two raised their standard of play to an even higher level. The defense became even fiercer and more tightly organized, and Ash became even more central to that effort. Also, three other scorers joined the rotation (Allie Serah and Blanca) which shifted her responsibilities once again.
Through all the changes and the evolving expectations, Ash has been the rock Geno knows he can count on. What the team needs, Ash provides. Her career has been one of the most remarkable I’ve seen.
If Ash reaches 1400 points next season, it will be a testament to her steadiness. I don’t know what awaits Ash after college, but I think it’s a bad idea to bet against her grit and determination.
