If the Cavaliers were interested in Kevin Ollie, they can cross him off their list of possible head coaching candidates. A source close to the former Cavs guard said on Saturday that Ollie is ''strongly leaning'' toward remaining at UConn.

Rumors about the Cavs' interest in Ollie were circulating at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, but one NBA source said the team had not contacted Ollie. The source close to Ollie said he'd had discussions with one NBA team but that the talks were preliminary and had never reached the point where salary was discussed. The Los Angeles Lakers were another team rumored to be considering Ollie.

dont feel like digging it up on my phone but there is a passage in today's Daily News from Mitch Lawrence saying that KO rejected the Cavs, makes total sense why this story would leak out about KO being scratched from their list.

An agreement is not the same thing as a contract, this is all smoke and mirrors. Ollie is clearly signing on to be player/coach for the Lakers while taking over Adam Silver's duties as NBA commissioner.....he's also buying the Clippers.
