Saw it today in The Courant, repeating Hurley quotes we’ve seen. Stew at + 15 muscle? He wasn’t skinny before. Anyone see him in person yet this year in the scrimmages?

Probably dropped some of his baby fat and gained some muscle. I did that once, about 50 years ago.

Here are the links to the article.

“Jaylin put down the headset and the controller and screen-sucking his phone and he’s in the gym at the rate that you need to be in the gym at. Instead of being a gamer or an influencer, he wants to be a baller and he’s in the gym like Alex,” Hurley said. “He’s got a different maturity. He’s ready to take the next step in his career.”

What is "screen-sucking"?

Alternate access:
Attacking the offseason more than ever, Jaylin Stewart is determined to break through for UConn men

He absolutely has the physical tools to be dominant on both ends. Beautiful form on his 3 except low % so far but that is psychological. I would think that he should be able to bull him way to the hoop with that strength.
12 points a game wouldn’t shock me.

He’s doing what he should be doing - putting on muscle and becoming a beast around the rim that can swing out and nail a 3. He was not and never will be a plus perimeter player, so for him to flourish he’s going to have to present a balance offensively and should be guarding 4s. He doesn’t have the feet or the handle. Would also be great for him to start ripping down rebounds because as a starting 4 next year, may need that to offset Reibe’s rebounding ability some.

Physically he looked very impressive. He's got an upperclassmen's body. Shooting stroke looked pretty clean, too.
