Mel is "Director of Basketball Operations" at FGCU. She loves her job. And she especially likes and respects coach Smesko. She is working on a Master's Degree in her spare time.

I hope they make the Tourney.

I had head coach Karl Smesko on my podcast at the beginning of the month, and we included some chat about Mel. Also had St. Bonnie coach Crowley in the same podcast, which has Lorin Dixon's little sister on their team.

I am a resident of the Estero/Ft Myers area and a follower of FGCU. Coach Smesko is a mid level Geno coach. He has the same disciplined well coached teams and has an outstanding won/ loss record. They should win the Atlantic Sun conference and get a bid to the NCAA's. It is a great experence for Mel because the program is so successful.
