Anyone go who wants to give us their own run down of what Hurley spoke about? Here's Dave Borges's run down.

"Can the Huskies go with a 10-man rotation throughout the entire season?"

"In theory, you can," Hurley replied. "As long as there's not a separation that happens. If there becomes a big separation from eight to nine, from nine to 10 ..."

That's nine. Jacob Furphy, a freshman from Tasmania who didn't play much against BC, is fighting for a spot in the rotation.

"He's got some Cam Spencer attributes," Hurley noted. "I think he's got a chance to have a great career here."

How Dan Hurley could manage UConn men's basketball roster: 'Deepest team I've ever coached

So is Demary dealing with a calf or ankle injury? I thought it was a calf but Borges reporting it as an ankle in his article, ankle more encouraging than a calf.

My thoughts exactly, as I thought Hurley earlier said he was dealing with more "soft tissue" injuries than ever before.

In the BC warm ups his calf was heavily bandaged, and he was flying above the rim with speed and aggression. Can't be hurt much.

The games are only 40 minutes with a massive amount of long breaks and time outs throughout. 10-11 guys is just too many to play, especially when there are a few guys that are guaranteed to play a lot. The rotation will be 8 or 9 as always with exceptions for blowouts and bad foul problem games.

He's our most important player by a large margin, IMO.
There’s nobody on the roster to replace what Reed gives us. That alone makes him the most important imo. We need him healthy for the challenging part of our OOC and beyond.

My friend and I went to this this morning, got ourselves seats one table back right in the center line. Went to get breakfast, saw Dave Borges, said 'Hey Dave Borges, how you doing?" I told him I read all his stuff because on the Boneyard and people (shout out to Hooper) post all his stuff there. I told him he writes good stuff and we kicked it around for a second. Hurley came on at 8am, ran thru the roster quick, told a couple stories, swore on purpose like ten times, no big surprises. Did say Furphy was working hard for a spot and they want to use him, reminds them of Cam Spencer.

Then he fielded maybe ten questions and I asked the 2nd question which was whether Karoma was going to see minutes regularly in the frontcourt and not just during foul trouble. Most of his answer Borges picked up on and wrote in the article so I won't repeat. Tom Moore was sitting at the table right in front of me, so as it was breaking up I shook his hand and wished him a good season. This is a fun event, a lot of positive people. They have been doing this since at least the early nineties because I used to watch it on the Comcast public access channel which had very little programming on it. It was like channel 2 or something back when we had that black dial thingy attached to the cord. It was the first and sometimes only look at the roster before the season, not like today in this media driven world.
