Yup. Doesn't look like "rotting on a vine" to me.

Meh. We signed two 5 * recruits after we won in 2011. There wasn't some huge chasm between calhoun bouncing and ollie taking the reigns, didn't miss a beat. No offense to paxton but why is he talking to some kid who didn't even commit here in govan? idgaf what jessie govan or even mitchell think. Mitchell is a 6'2 shooting guard thats barely scratching top100.

Ultimately, Kevin will have to close some deals like he so successfully close games to get the W coaching. I think he can do it; time will tell.

For me, the de-verbal of Ali totally took me by surprise. Maybe that ultimately opens the door to a better player, but I honestly thought/hoped kids would be literally knocking down the door to play for Ollie, and UCONN. Still, it's great to be in the conversation with so many kids. It isn't your father's UCONN hoops team, that's for sure!

Not that I'm worried, but there's a big difference between interest and commitment. At some point these highly ranked kids need to make up their minds and pull the Husky trigger. There is no consolation prize for coming in second or
for having the most number of interested recruits. There's still a lot of time before the pool of top level talent is exhausted.

All will be well. The last fifteen years is pretty much the entire conscious memory of these recruits, and plenty of them will want to play for what has been unquestionably the dominant program over that time. Twice as many NCs as any of the runners up!

Show me the money.

I think you have to remember that the staff is juggling too. They may have the ability to get commits from some kids but are holding them off. Look at the football team, people have been nervous that Diaco wasn't getting commits, which seemed odd since he is a great salesman and motivator. Suddenly, he brings in 4 guys in 2-3 days. I doubt that was total coincidence.

Boon isn't the right word yet. I mean aren't we -1 on commits since we won the whole thing?

With all the scholarships and playing time we have available in 2015 it will be extremely disappointing if we don't land at least 3 top 100 players.

2016 will potentially see more impact but I don't doubt for a second the staff will achieve your expectations!

I understand why it's not happening quickly but we had a lot to overcome even with 3 titles. There was so much positive vibe on what happened in April that I thought they would be lined up in the hallway for KO. Our conference is the only negative as I see it no matter what our OOC is, but I would bet on KO to get it done.

This is an odd title for an article; how has the championship "proven" to be a boon for our recruiting? Since we've won, we've gotten no commitments and in fact, have had a 4-star guard de-commit. I'm not worried about our recruiting at all, but the title would really only be accurate if we had landed recruits since the title.

Quite frankly, I never have expectations when it comes to a particular recruiting season. I will suggest the metrics many use on this board may not be the decision metric a particular recruit uses. I agree the better the environment (good coaches, great facilities, winning image, NBA connection, etc) all help but we have overcome odds or loss out to lesser programs on paper. At the end of the day it's who you get and then how they perform in uniform.
