According to the article, after year two, you need to either commit to your final two years and 5 years of service or not. My guess is that anyone who leaves did so before then.

almost totally agree here, except the "gimmick" part - the triple option is a legit offense, we should not take that away from it. It's boring and outdated, but it's a legit gameplan.

I feel like in this context, a gimmick is the stupid ahh trick plays UConn was running almost every game under Nick Charlton. A feigned attempt at innovation and deceit - aiming to outsmart the opponent but tripping over your own ankles before he was fooled.

Gimmick doesn’t mean illegitimate. But it’s definitely a gimmick, particularly back in the day with Navy’s ridiculous chop blocks.
