How did Arizona beat ASU? They look terrible!

Complete mismatch right now...eegads

.-.
31-4 end of Q1. Oregon looks quite a bit better than current UConn right now.

9 min into 2 Q Sabally has already dropped 5 3s.

Nice to see Arizona defense tightening up, and starting to score. Sabally was sitting for a while, maybe a mistake as Arizona able to counterpunch. Oregon 44 Arizona 23 end of Q2.

Arizona is NOT at the level of, or competitive with, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon State or (apparently) Utah.

We played a horrid out of conference schedule - including one of the few (for all I know only) win-less teams as of this point.

We have upgraded our talent. We are well coached. We have a fighting chance against everyone else in the PAC, I think. Are not going to win against all of them. May be a WNIT team - maybe.

Things are looking up in Tucson. You have no idea how bad things were under previous coaching.

Lucia Alonso of Oregon had an ankle injury early in the first half and looks to be out of the rest of the game.

Erin Boley's scoring is carrying Oregon's offense in the second half. Cazorla now w/3 fouls.

Ionescu is one point away from another triple double.

Ionescu should be within easy striking distance of another triple dub, despite her shooting inefficiency. Arizona's guard Arri McDonald with some nice moves.

I have to say after watching Carter play 3 times this year, I am not a fan. She just doesn’t look to involve anyone and just committed a 2nd foul in the 1st quarter, leaves the game laughing and chuckling leaving her team in the lurch? What’s up with that?

Cazorla is Oregon's Napheesa. Wonder how she stacks up against CD?

Oregon leading by about 30 w/ca. 7 min to go. Switching to football.

93-60 Oregon final

Ionescu with another triple double 21-12-12

The first quarter was probably the best first quarter of the season all around for Oregon, certainly in Pac 12 play. Ionescu actually had 8 rebounds and 6 assists by the end of the quarter (0 points), so the triple double was really a matter of when, not if. (It was completed about 3 minutes into the third quarter, I believe.). But the real star of the game, and really the Pac 12 season so far, is Sabally, who continues to get better--scoring, rebounding, and on defense. Graves calls he a unicorn and I'm beginning to agree. (There's a video somewhere of her making an amazing block of a 3-point attempt late in the Arizona State game.). Ionescu hasn't shot very well for most of the conference season, but--so far, anyway--Sabally has more than made up the difference and is averaging about 20 pts./game in conference and a bit more than 17 overall.

Oregon know longer just depends on Sabrina. UO's first 7 players are all solid, and, Sabally is really turning out to be a match up nightmare for any opponent (offensively & defensively). I love Maite Cazorla's game. To me, Oregon is definitely a top 4 team in NCAA. They have improved defensively, and seemed to have 5 players on the floor at all times who can score. The Stanford vs UO game will be a good one.
