Expect to see more of this going forward. Hurley wants to play a 1 off or 2 games in NYC every year. No more Maui, Battle 4 for Atlantis, etc.
This gives us Texas and Arizona at home next year. Kansas is close to happening as well.

maybe home and home becomes irrelevant if UConn get the Big 12 invite soon
Yeah. I keep trying to read the tea leaves but it seems like both B12 and ACC schools are wanting to play us and give us home and home in both basketball and football. We are just trying to make the best schedules possible and if an invite comes, we’ll adjust.

Scheyer is doing the Boeheim method: make sure your toughest opponents are played at your home court, or at worse neutral, and go on the road for the AP 18+ teams. With the ACC being the weakest conference, Duke is assured of a 2 or 1 seed then let's see how the frosh there do in the Dance when they are down and the pressure is on: loved seeing NC State end them last year in Dallas!
