Are you kidding me

St Joe’s coach is new. So they are in total rebuild mode. They caught us on a very lucky night without Bouk and where we just weren’t playing well. St. Joe’s doesn’t beat us if they played us now.
 
The St J game is reminiscent of the Mass blowout (down by 30 at half?) many years ago. UConn eventually won, I think, and may (can't remember year) have gone onto NC.
 
Amazing. Guaranteed st joes doesn’t shoot they way they did against us for the next 10 years. We shud be 5-0 going into tonight
 
We all know St. Joe's is horrible. It never should've happened but it woke the team up. We should be undefeated but so what, it's about kicking butt from here on out.
 
We could do this all year, I am sure we will have numerous chances, but I think we need to get past that game. It was a stinker, for sure, let's not kill ourselves over it though, Uconn is going to have a lot of great games this year.

Maybe Bouk could have done that for Hurley.
 
Fans like to say that things are flukes and that their team got unlucky. I'm the first to push back on that.

But we really did get unlucky that night and it was a total fluke.

Daly made 50% of 12 3s against us, and is at 22% the rest of the season on 27 other attempts.. Douglas made 2 of 3 against us and 2 of 14 in the rest of his games

Sure, but St Joe’s 30-year old YMCA member may shoot the way he shot against UConn in the 1H in some after-work beer league or Y league during the next 10 years to few decades. Shiite happens!

I was there with a UMASS alum. UConn scores 9 points first half. Omeka and rashad Anderson took over second half.
 
We played like crap against St Joe's, didn't adjust on defense to a system oriented offense and got our butts kicked. Xavier, we also played like crap offensively but played great defense. In both cases they were games we should have won.
 
We had one absolutely horrific half of basketball against St Joes and they played out of their minds up by 27. We cut it to one basket in the second half before running out of steam but actually blitzed them in that half. If Evansville, who is 4-3 right now, can go into Rupp and knock off the #1 ranked team in the country, there is no reason UConn can’t have an awful half without what looks like their best player, and lose. Served as quite a wake up and Hurley totally had their attention after that. Let’s take care of the next 6 games before we get to conference play!
