The men’s game tonight against Stony Brook was blacked out.
Now, I’m really concerned about the women’s games being blacked out.

Does anybody have any insight on this?

I apologize in advance if this has already been talked about.

On a related note: My cable package (Comcast in Maryland) has SNY, but the next two games (and I presume the subsequent ones) are blacked out. I had assumed that ESPN was exerting some sort of pressure, but if they're blacked out on ESPN3, that's obviously not the case. Anyone know what's up?

The guide said tonight’s game (Stony Brook) was blacked out on SNY up here in MA, but the game was actually on SNY and I watched it.

I watched the game on ESPN3

Checking the Schedule on ESPN Watch for the next 3 games,
vs Cal on ESPN 3
vs MD on ESPN
vs UCLA on ESPN U

I live in Binghamton, NY. "Black Out" apparently has nothing to do with physical distance from Storrs - but because my local cable system (SPECTRUM) has SNY available as part of its sports package ESPN 3 is "blacked out." I am not a cable subscriber and I access ESPN (and ESPN 3 on the ESPN Watch App) via PlayStation Vue. Luckily my upstairs neighbor is a UCONN WB fan and subscribes to SNY on SPECTRUM. I watch the games with him.

I'm on Frontier in Florida.
My SNY guide on Frontier says Friday's game is blacked out.
Watch ESPN on Roku shows it will be available.
I'll just have to wait until Friday.

UPDATE: Frontier channel guide shows all Friday UCONN related programming.
I may watch the game on WATCH ESPN if it is in HD as I don't get SNY in HD.

I actually talked to the person in charge of affiliate relations at SNY a week+ ago. He said the “Blackout” listing on your local guide is incorrect and UCONN games will absolutely NOT be blacked out. So far that has been true with the men vs. Stony Brook game.

How in 2o17, is standard definition even around anymore? These cable companies charge an arm and a leg and then give the bare minimum to their loyal subscribers. What a scam!

Just got a message on Watch ESPN - "This event has been blacked out in your area." - and SNY says "No Blackout" - Yeah right!

ESPN3 stream will be blacked out if you are in SNY's TV coverage area. Theoretically you can watch it on TV (SNY) if you have the right cable provider. If you don't, SNY is 'suggesting' that you change providers.

In Stamford Connecticut, the game is on SNY on TV and on nbcsports.com on the computer.

Local cable had the game blacked out as of last night, but I was able to watch it on SNY this evening. No idea what was up with that.
