Whaley played 28 minutes had 2 points a rebound and a block.
That’s unpossible.

Hard to harp on a guy like Whaley. I mean, of all the problems, he's so far down the list. Big picture, this should have been a developmental year for him.

He's one of those guys with something to work with, but has no clue what he's doing at this point.

My first game this year, but whoever mentioned Whaley in the same breath as Lyman DePriest and Rod Sellers either needs to have his head examined or knows very little about basketball. Oh wait, that was our head coach who said those things. Whaley was AWFUL today.

I’m not sure how this is really possible, but they don’t seem to know how to use a guy like Whaley...

Just like they had no idea how to use Facey. Very similar players.

I was more noticing the statistical improbably of that line than making any judgment about him.

This program is so broken there is no way to know which of the kids can play and which can’t.

Or anybody for that matter. Is UCONN using anyone correctly? Outside of giving the ball to Jalen at crunch time, I'd say no.

I used to think Facey was maybe limited from a BBall IQ standpoint. But now I think potential talent was just totally wasted. He could have been Gavin Ewards-eque.

Sellers and DePriest were very limited players that hustled and played D. A Jim Calhoun developed Whaley would be a very good player.

Carlton has improved. He just gets no elevation off the floor on his shots.

In the first few minutes Whaley was out hustled for a loose ball that should have been his, missed 2 box outs and was out fought for a rebound. He should have been benched. Rod and Lyman would not have allowed those things to happen. I watched Whaley slot today and saw very little hustle.

Every single player on this team has a glaringly limitation or five.
