UConn says at #5, top 3 teams change places. NCSU +4, OSU -4, Duke -5

Our friend Creighton moves up a spot to #22, and Fairfield in the also receiving votes group.

The Tourney this March is going to be wide open! Which ever team gets hot at that time will win it.

Big question coming up is which Big 10 team drops to the 2 line. Will it be UCLA or SoCal? They play this weekend then in their tournament if they advance.

8, 9 and 10 (UNC, NC State, TCU) separated by 12 points.

19 Maryland and 20 Alabama 2 points apart.

The polling seems to be stratifying:

The top 4 seem set in stone now, barring something unexpected happening in the next two weeks.

5, 6 and 7 are grouped together...then a wide gap before 8, 9, 10.

There's a 100 point gap between #10 and #11...and another big gap between 16 and 17.

USC could possibly / likely drop one to UCLA this week, but probably will not be enough (unless they get swamped) to allow Uconn to jump them, considering USC holds the face-to-face edge against Uconn. Only thing Uconn can do is take care of business in their next two relatively competitive Big East games

Don’t confuse AP poll and NCAA committee.

Based on the 2/13 committee, ND and USC could be fighting for the last 1 seed.

The top 4 set in stone? Not even close.

SEC tournament. One pf SCar or Texas will probably be set if stone. The other, probably a two seed. Probably! Crap, if LSU wins out, who knows.

Big Ten Tournament, Oh, and the UCLA/U$C final game before we even get there?

Does a Big 12 wrap up a two seed. TCU? Okie State.

I promise you Notre Dame doesn't look as near as strong to the NET rating as it does to the pollsters.

thing is set in stone except that UConn will not lose before selection Sunday

USC and UCLA meet in the final game of the regular season and then will likely meet in the Big 10 title game. Texas will likely play either SC or LSU in the SEC title game. This is one of those times where it is a benefit to be in the BE.

Now... What happens if Tennessee throws a wrench into this and wins the SEC tournament??

Nor does UCLA. I'd hope the seeding committee would take a long look at yesterday's game between UCLA and unranked/NET29 Iowa. I'm surprised UCLA got 11 first-place votes; I would have bumped them down 1 rather than up 1.

I'm recommending everyone watch "Win and Advance", the ESPN 30 for 30 episode before the tourney starts (if you have ESPN+). It's one of my favourites to watch especially this time of year. :D
