If BC had a living breathing athletic department, they'd be all over Thibault-Dubonis. But she's too smart to go to a dead end job.
I would say she should wait for the UConn job but she wouldn't leave what she built at Fairfield to follow a hall of famer and coach on a farm.

I watched Vanderbilt come from behind to beat Tennessee yesterday. It took a lot to do it. The Vols would mop the floor with Princeton or Fairfield.
Hasn't Fairfield already played better teams than Tennessee and not been mopped or whatever?

This is a weird situation with Tennessee. I don't think anyone is saying they are an objectively bad basketball team, but they have had an entire season to prove they are not a national championship contender and they have done a fantastic job of it. Maybe just take the L and figure out what needs to be done to get back to that level OR with whatever games are left... win some.

Tennessee has several good wins. They just picked the worst time of the year to go into a swoon. Late season losses weigh more heavily for rankings - and seeding

Unless you consider the win @ Stanford to be impressive, I don't think they have anything in their OOC to brag about.

They are 8-8 in the SEC... which includes 5-2 vs. the bottom 6 teams in the SEC. They are 2-10 vs. ranked teams. Tough ranked teams, mostly, but still the results are the results.

In contrast to some of the other mid-pack SEC teams that managed to pull out a win vs. one of the top 5, Tennessee's best claim is they "beat the team (KY and Georgia), that beat a team."

I think they kind of are what they are and are fairly ranked. 2-9 in their last 11 games. IMO, it would behoove them to win an SECT game or two.

I never said they had “impressive” wins; I said good wins - such as Kentucky, Georgia, and Alabama. And my point was that Tennessee picked a bad time to have their worst stretch of the season. Not sure why that spurred an argument
