Has anyone heard anything from Brenda Frese yet about this? She will say: we beat Notre Dame and UConn, both in Top 10, why are we still only 15?

Looks like the AP writers agree with us about the significance of that loss. It absolutely did not show that MD is the better team.

They aren't going to bump a team up 20 spots after one game. But if UConn loses to Florida State, we'll drop even more.

Why would she say that? I'm sure she's quite aware that her team also lost to DePaul and Nebraska.

And ................... She has the right to do so.... But being this early in the season and realizing the starters UConn had on the bench, it would be as fact full / silly as that from Dawn claiming.
The Nike basketball is different than the Wilson ball says Coach Staley, it was hard to adjust for the guards.

In his great book, "Ball Four", Jim Bouton mentioned a cartoon he had seen and loved. It showed a little boy trudging up to his front door trailing his baseball glove. His dad, standing in the door says; "How did it go?" and the kid says; "I had a no-hitter going til the big kids got out of school." When our three big kids "get out of school", it will be "Katie bar the door!" Our ranking will shoot up like a rocket.
