I assume MAAC is a 1 bid league and there won't be an at large bid given to Fairfield, if they lose during the conference tournament.

So has an AP ranked team ever not received an NCAA tournament bid?

MAAC is definitely a 1 bid league.

I can't recall offhand if it's happened on the women's side, but it's definitely happened on the men's, more than once.

If they lose, they won’t be ranked anymore.

If they lose, they won’t be ranked anymore.

But if they lose in the conference tournament (and not before then), there won't be another poll before selection Sunday. So technically could be ranked when not selected.

Fairfield is certainly one, there are a handful of teams that had really good seasons, who are in 1 bid leagues. So they have to take care of business and win their conference tourneys, or they'll miss the Big Dance.
