What's the most consecutive weeks UConn has been ranked #1? I'd imagine it would be 98-99 before Duke passed us but Goggle hasn't yielded me a good answer.

I was at that game last year at XL, and it wound up being a great atmosphere. UConn was really on fire that night, too.

Long holiday weekend, 3:00pm start time, I think it is going to be very lively. Secondary market for tickets is insane. I purchased 4 tickets about two months ago with the hope that this game would be a Top 5 match up. If I was to relist them, I'd double my money.

It's fine that you don't like games at XL. Is the week of the first time in forever that we're #1 hosting another top 5 team really the moment at which you feel compelled to piss in everyone's cheerios?

If UConn played all its home games at Gampel, we would be bottom three in the Big East for home attendance. UGH!

I like the 3pm start. Crowd will be well lubricated for it.
And most of people complaining about XL wouldn’t be able to get or afford tickets at Gampel.

It won't be easy. Butler curbed stomped them in Milwaukee about 1 month ago. It was one of Tyler Kolek's worst games and he lost complete confidence in that game going 1-12.

If Butler beats them then we beat them, we coast to the BE Regular Season Championship.
Normally I'd root for Marquette against Butler to make our game more exciting and of national interest, but we're #1, we already get enough national interest. What we really want is to win the league, so Butler winning is better for that.

Like, I get it. And, sure, for an early Sunday start against a non-premium, non-rival Big East newcomer like Butler ? Yeah, the XL can be a bit sleepy. But against another top 5 team ? XL will be rocking on Saturday
