AP Poll 12/9 - UConn #18

The team still has a bunch of stuff to get ironed out; doesn't look like a Top 10 team. It's early and we're in the hunt. Ok to be where we are now.

kansas has a win over top 10 duke, and only lost twice.

We lost 3x and had no quality win at the time. Not sure what the bulletin board is there.

Agreed. Also, Kansas has a win over UNC. I know they aren't ranked now but they were I think 8 or 9 at the time plus both losses were on the road.

The first Poll/Ratings that are significant so far this year are
the one that will come out 12/16 and the final one.
You could almost determine how many bids and even possible seeding ranges from that poll
If we best Gonzaga we will be top 10-12 at worse which puts us in a 3 seed range if we don’t collapse in league play and not finish 1-2-or 3 .
The strength of you league and bids is pretty much decided by next week and conference play just shuffles the teams within those limits .
For our seeding the next game is huge .
We lose and unless we win the conference 4-5 seed at best .

Jumping 8 spots for one win might be too much. Think we'll get slightly less credit for the semi home game and making them fly across the country. Good problem to have.

I have no idea what he's attempting to do with these rankings, and i get the vibe from his description he's not quite sure either...
