Historically they don't pay much attention to the quality of wins or poor losses from week to week. If going into the week ND was ranked number 1 and UConn 2, and during the week ND had one point wins against Cupcake University and The University of Never Won A Game, and, UConn had beaten each of the 3rd. 4rth and 5th ranked teams by 50 points....ND would still end the week ranked above them.
