Calhoun pisses me off at times. On a night where Olander is playing like , you have to leave Oriakhi out there and see if he can figure things out. Tyler has come a long way, but this team isn't beating any top teams with him playing 30 minutes a game. Oriakhi and Drummond were working great together against the zone, and then Calhoun takes him out and sticks him on the bench for the rest of the game. This team needs to get some production from the low post if they want to run an efficinet offenes. This team does not have Kemba Walker anymore to excuse the lack of post game. When you don't have a break you down off the dribble guy, and you don't have a low post scorer, you are going to struggle. When they work the ball from the inside out, get open looks, they are obviously a much better offensive team. Shabazz needs to learn how to run a team, or else this team will be in dog fights with the bottom of the Big East all season long.

We need to play Smith and AO until they completely work themselves out of whatever funk they have been in. Our best chances of making a run are with them playing at their potential. I am absolutely stunned that we are not a better defensive team this year. I expected there to be some growing pains offensively but figured our defense would get us through. Early in the year, plenty of time to work things out.

Olander plays hard, but he doesn't protect the rim, he constanly gets pushed around by the bigger bodies in the Big East, and he has no post up game. Oriakhi brings more toughness, and has more potential. For some guys the quick hook works well, others just need time to figure things out.

Picking the wrong fight here...TO has been much better and smarter than Alex all year. While I agree we need him top have the Huskies play to their full potential he has done nothing to earn more minutes than Tyler. Against a zone Tyler will be a better option as he can make a jumper. Not sure where anyone would consider him playing like tonight.

Kevin Jones on deck, if AO isn't in foul trouble next game I'd be shocked if he doesn't get 30 minutes, I can't see Tyler handling him.

He deserved more minutes tonight - he was playing well.
I actually agree. If you see my recent posts, I have been evicerating Alex the past few games, but he played with some emotion for once (in the second half at least). He had a nice and one and ripped the ball away from someone and got fouled. Looked like he was about to have a decent game and then he got benched. Even I wanted him to play more, and I am not exactly what youd call his biggest fan.

Like someone else posted, put Lamb at the foul line against the zone. Tonight we had Olander and Drummond coming out to the key at the same time. Both players are getting nothing done from that spot on the floor. Put Drummond down in the box and Lamb will find him or hit the floater. Both guards tonight did not defend well and aren't working well together. Boatright's size seemed to be an issue as well as he had trouble finding room to get off shots. Rutgers guards outplayed our guards on both ends of the floor.
