I just tweeted AO and he seems to agree with a lot of us. I hate that he's leaving but I'm more inclined to blame the NCAA for that. He helped us get NC #3 so I hope things work out for him. This is my brief dialogue with him on twitter..

sam @huskiesnyc
@aoriakhi34 good luck at your new school and thx for winning a NC. sorry your dad is so mad and hates Calhoun, makes you look bad. good luck

Alex Oriakhi @aoriakhi34

@huskiesnyc thanks I apologize for the way he acts

I loved my dad and he knew his to boot and at 20 I would not have and didn't listen............everyone says thanks for the NC yet he's not thankful, he's outta here!!

The fact remains that AO was a captain and he was the first (and only) guy to jump ship when the going got tough. So I cut him no slack. He is a bad and selfish leader.

Sometimes I think we forget that we're dealing with humans, not basketball playing robots, and we don't have anywhere near enough info to understand how they think and feel.

It's hard to know what my family members are thinking and feeling most of the time, and I see them every day.

He stayed for 3 years and helped us win a championship. Which is probably more than most UConn grads do for the school. He's a Husky for life in my book. I just hope he doesn't win a championship wherever he goes for next season. He should be able to play pro basketball somewhere in the world.
