This stuff doesn't bother me at all. They all cheat and lie. Every single professional cyclist. I worked with a guy who was a professional cyclist in the early to mid 1990's. He was, and still is, good friends with Tyler Hamilton. He said even then that they all doped, including himself. The teams had doctors that monitored everything. Armstrong is just more high profile than everyone else. He doesn't win 7 Tour de France titles and nobody knows a thing about him cheating just like the hundreds of others that are still doing it. Non-story to me.

The guy is so egomaniacal it's not even funny, he ran the team like a cartel. Have always wondered if he got cancer from all of his drug use.

How many very successful professional athletes aren't like this? It's why they got to where they are/were.

Sure there are a lot of egomaniacs in pro sports but I've never seen anyone like Lance Armstrong. The guy spent the past decade + ruining peoples lives all while hiding behind his cancer charity. I've read eveything there is to read about the guy and it's clear to me he's a sociopath, he would've turned on his mom in a second if it benefited him.

I don't really care too much either way about Armstrong. Competitive bicycling just doesn't pique my interest.

He's kind of an a**, but at the end of the day, he was the best dirty athlete in a sport that consisted 95% of dirty athletes.

I feel like we've seen this story before.

I couldn't care less about his cheating in a bike rice, but he is a huge POS as a person for the people's lives he ruined in order to protect his name and defend himself from being called a cheater. If you dont know what I'm talking, google it, the guy is a POS.

I believe you're missing the fact that he destroyed quite a few lives over his lies. This guy sued whoever went against him and won million dollar judgements against these people. This goes well beyond just doping.

I'm most impressesed by what a terrible interviewer Oprah is.

Really? I thought she did her homework rather well. As someone who follows the sport avidly she asked nearly every question I wanted to hear and there is still another segment tomorrow night.

So it makes it right he made all this money off of cheating by winning? "Livestrong" the same now because NIKE would not have assisted a loser/cheater in this endeavor........it's all pitiful!!

You have no clue what you are talking about. This is about so much more then cheating in a bike race.

I'll agree that he cheated and deserves to be stripped of his titles, but my 20 year-old son had testicular cancer in 1997 and the fact that Armstrong had survived and was healthy enough to compete was a source of inspiration for him. He also raised a ton of money and increased awareness of the disease and that isn't all bad.

I sat down with a couple friends over beers and a game a while back and tried to think of an elite athlete within our generation who didn't have some dirt on him.

Tiger? Nope.
Bonds? Nope.
Jordan? Nope.

Mind you, we're talking Hall of Fame worthy, upper crust athletes. Not some athlete like Wes Welker or Jacoby Ellsbury.

The only guy we could come up with was Peyton Manning.

I have no interest devoting my time and energy to watching Oprah the Egomaniac interview Lance Armstrong as he tries to dig himself of the hole he threw himself into.

Please point out to me the part of my post that condones his cheating?
