Anyone else get a call from Nick Williams?

Got a marketing call from UConn around 6:30 tonight. Picked up since it was an 860 area code and to my delight it was the ticket office marketing the opener Thursday night. Nick Williams read the message just getting support for the game. One line that stood out was "Let no ticket go unused...". Really a great effort this year from the ticket office for the first time in awhile.

Yeah, I'm serious. I renewed my 3 year deal and they offered 2 free fix for the Umass game. Maybe u can call the ath dev office and can work something out?

There was a promotion about a month ago. If you ordered season tickets, the A.D. threw in 2 extra tickets to the UMass game. I don't think it applied to anyone who reupped before the promotion as I did.

In the 203 and Nick said parking lots @ 3:30 and gates @ 6:00.

Nice job by Athletic dept. - felt like I do when I get my call from Mickey/Minnie/Donald just before a Disney Vacation.

3:30 eh? I thought night games the only opened 3 hours before game time. Another hour of tailgating, you say?!

I did. He said he too believes that UConn's offense needs to be a whole lot more effective in the TD dept. He said he wants that ball thrown to him a lot more than in the past few seasons. He even suggested that as good as Lyle McCombs was last year,he needed a passing game to open things up.

All seriousness Nick Williams is a player hard not to like. Best wishes to you Nick and your teammates.

My wife told me I had a message on the voice mail. I guess my face lit up like a Christmas tree because even my 3 year old son asked what it was. In 48 hours we'll be in the 4th quarter of a (hopefully relaxing) game. Can't wait!
