If you go, stay wherever the players stay and enjoy being around them at the hotel. They will charge you an arm ana leg, but if you can afford it, do it. Then drive to the game. We went years ago when UConn played and we did not do this, because I am cheap. I would never do that again. Not only was driving from the other side of the island an incredible (and potentially dangerous) experience, the islanders we encountered were downright hostile. I would worry that given the damage, they may be even more hostile. Given the level of US financial support, I would not necessarily blame them. Historically, the US provides nowhere near enough support for the Virgin Islands, anyway.
