Donovan Clingan played the game with his right hand taped. Hassan Diarra ended the night taking an elbow flush in the nose.

Neither injury is serious and neither will keep the two UConn Huskies out of Monday night's national championship game against Purdue.

Diarra also said he was fine despite getting his nose bloodied by the elbow of Alabama's Rylan Griffen in the final minute of play. Blood was still running down Diarra's nose in the locker room and he was wiping it away with a white towel.

Donovan Clingan played Saturday's Final Four game with a wrapped hand and Hassan Diarra took a shot to the nose, but both said they are fine.

Normal size, but crooked. Most breaks were on a basketball court, someone’s head to nose being the #1 choice. Other popular methods include line drives during batting practice, and face planting as a youngster.

Broke my nose so many times it got yanked back to straight again after the last one. He'll be playing.

Hass would be playing if you chopped one of his arms off. He's a winner.

Post-game at team hotel, very briefly spoke with Clingan (no hand wrap) and Hassan looked like Diarra with pizza in hand waiting for elevator. Unprofessional 2 cents insight of zero value, both will be OK in NCAA final.
