I thought I'd heard that West Haven has free parking on the weekends. I wasn't sure if there were any other stations which also had free parking; I know New Haven doesn't. I live in New Haven so I am gonna ride my bike but was curious for my friends who are visiting/taking the train with me.

I think that almost all of them do, except those with garages like Norwalk and Stamford.

Fairfield, Fairfield Metro, Westport I know for a fact are free.

If you are coming down the Hudson Line, the Beacon station has free parking

I just called them. It's $6. Be careful about West Haven. When I was looking at fares, the schedule said it only stops to drop off passengers.

West Haven definitely has free parking on the weekends and there will 100% be stops there for pickups. The $6 is for weekday parking.

I have never taken the train from West Haven, so I have no 1st hand knowledge, but the online schedule says indicates code D which says:

D Stops only to discharge customers.

The D code for WH is for the trains home. Not the trains into the city.

Milford is free parking on Weekends.

That is an inbound schedule. However, I don't not believe you, given the issues MTA has had over the last few years. Website coding may not be on the front burner.

Strange.

Metro North is a public benefit corporation. Not reasonable to expect accurate website information.

Further down on the Hudson line, Irvington has free parking on weekends. It's 5 minutes south of the Tappan Zee Bridge and a 35 minute train ride right to Yankee. As a FI, I believe Tarrytown, the next stop heading north up the Hudson line is not free on the weekends.

Stratford is free

Yeah but off hours they have a lot of break-ins. Had my car broken into there twice.
