I’m looking to take a trip next fall to wherever UConn’s early season tournament will be. Anybody have any insight as to which one we’ll be in?

Are these tournaments set this early? It might depend on how well we do this year. I’m just guessing.

Maui and a few others were already announced so I wasn’t sure if an insider knew anything. Xavier already announced they will play in the 2019 Battle4Atlantis so the wheels are turning.

Hopefully it’s a former big east tournament. UConn, Cuse, Nova, Rutgers. (Can only have 1 school from each conference)

I've put this plan out here before; but I really like the idea of UConn, Cuse and Gtown hosting a 4 team tourney over thanksgiving weekend every year.

Those 3 teams would be hosts so it would guarantee that they play, at the very least, once every other year.

Each year, invite a "major" school from somewhere else for the 4th slot.

Call it "The Big Eastern Invitational" or something.

Would love to go back to Puerto Rico. The Marriott we stayed at had a casino with $2.00 minimums on the tables. It was madness.

I would love to see the old holiday festival at MSG revived. 8 teams. That was a great tournament. Used to be held during Christmas holidays, perhaps that is no longer feasible, but they could have it in November.

No UConn in B4A

Damn this is where I was hoping to go. I see Michigan and Gonzaga got the invite back (they were in it with us in 2015). We probably aren’t a big enough name to get an invite like that at the moment.

But Southern Mississippi and Iowa State are? Maybe they didn't want too many good teams.

I hesitate to call us a "good team" at the current moment.

Maybe by Fall 2019 that changes.

I wonder if they will play at the Mohegan tournament. The problem I see with that is it might be hard to get other teams to come play UConn in CT

Or maybe pre season NIT in Brooklyn

Pre-Season NIT is a fun tournament

Preseason NIT would be a good landing spot, especially given it has a pretty loaded field this year.

I've been wanting to go to the tourney at Disney for a while so wouldn't mind the team landing there or the Charleston tourney could be fun though that's a bit lower profile (even though I believe Nova won it last year...)
