Any “secret scrimmages”

Sorry if this was posted anywhere else but I check here daily and have seen absolutely nothing about a summer scrimmage. I am pretty sure we had two of them each of the last couple years. Did I just miss it or did they actually keep them secret

They happen instead of exhibitions, so not until right before the season. We've got months to go.

Are you talking about scrimmages against other teams? Like they had against Virginia last year? And Harvard I think? If so, those happen in late October after the team starts practices for the season. Those are never during the summer.

We should be practicing against who? Every team is downgrading our practice but does Hurley want to work against some zone team or something? Maybe. I would think every team would want to practice against us, unless duke Kansas unc. I would like to practice against Houston. Let’s just get it on.

Yes, 2 of them.

But they are secret so I can’t tell you against who when or where. Danny made me swear not to tell.

UConn ran secret scrimmages against UVA the past two years I'm pretty sure. It helped a lot from what everyone says in getting different competition and running UConn's offense against one of the more unique defenses in the country.

They go to 2 summer sessions of classes starting in early June. First session ended before July 4 and they went home for about a week. 2nd session just ended last Friday and now they're home until the fall semester starts.

Didn't Hurley say after the scrimmage that UConn had a tough time with Virginia? I remember him not being pleased with the way they played. But that could be just Hurley being the coach he is since we never got any details.

Pretty sure we lost to Virginia in a close one…although that could’ve been the year before and AJax was out with an injury. But regardless if we played them last year too, I don’t think we blew them out.

I thought he said we won the first part of the scrimmage by a few points then got taken to school in the second part.

How many classes/credit per session? I loved summer courses. Nobody wanted to be there, even the teachers.

Some talk on Twitter today that Gtown beat MD and Providence lost to St. Joe’s in OT in ‘secret’ scrimmages this weekend.

Also, Marquette played Missouri but no word on the score. Butler plays Illinois tomorrow.
