Bigs can take a little time, wouldn't write him off because of a year under English. Looks like he can move for a guy his size. Numbers look solid @ 25 mpg.

Chol is solid too.

My guess is Arizona State. (Already familiar with Arizona....he played there as a freshman.)

Would love to see him here, of course. He's a grown up - married with kids.

I concur. Hurley had had better success with one super tall dog mixed with a bruiser, more muscular dog.

Yeah this one seems pretty straightforward. He was in the Big East at a terrible school last year and couldn't see the floor, and I don't even remember him existing. We can do much better

I would take him as a 3rd body similar to Elezaj/Singare but we undoubtedly need a better player backing up Reibe

Isn't Eastern Arizona a Junior College? If so what do his stats mean?

Half of this place would have rejected Mara after his freshman season. Players sometimes get better.

Moot point, though. If he can actually play he'll end up at Michigan or Purdue.

Part of Mays genius around Mara was seeing his potential. He was buried at UCLA.

Similar with Wolf in how he used him. Right now May is looking like the new visionary of CBB.

I thought Providence had a steal after I watched video of him after his signing and then he barely played. Kim English is clueless and I wouldn't hold that against this kid.

It was obvious he was new to basketball but his coordination and athleticism is unique for his giant body. I forgot all about him after he wasn't getting time for Providence, it looks like he produced this season and had some pretty big games against their tougher competition. Even shot a little over 34% on 38 threes.

Mara averaged 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks in 13 minutes a game as a sophomore at UCLA. He made a huge jump this year but is not remotely comparable to a guy that played 72 minutes and scored 21 points the entire season at Providence

Mara's sophomore advanced stats took a huge leap. He was a major target in the portal last year and got a bag from UM. He was listed as a 5 star recruit. The only thing that held him back was conditioning and an illness. Stop pretending that he was some diamond in the rough.

Who called him that? This place is so lame that it can't appreciate another coach doing good work. You think slapping together a new roster with the best odds to win it all is easy?

If he was on the open market, he was free game. From what I gathered, he actually approached May wanting to come after seeing what he did with Goldin & Wolf last year.

Maybe marginally. I'm using his sophomore year stats because he was already in the Big East and couldn't see the floor for a bad team. And we're looking to put a championship level team out there
 
I remember Bonke at PC. Nothing worth noting

Taking an 11/8 center from Charlotte feels like a plan C option. Would be surprised to see him be an impactful high major rotation piece. Am I being too harsh?
 
The American stunk last year.

Bonke, Will Berg, and Emmanuel Okorafor were like the 3 best centers in the league last year and they were all deep buried bench guys for (in two cases horrible) power teams last year.
