Watched Anthony Ireland a kid from Crosby High in Waterbury play for Loyola Marymount tonight. They beat UCLA and he pretty much destroyed them had 23 pts., 5 assistsa, 5 boards a few steals. I remember watching him in high school, only thing that kept him from playing at a bigtime school is his height. He is a very good point guard and will be one of the best players in his conference this year.

I just came to make this same exact post after seeing him dominate the LMU/UCLA highlights on Sportscenter. I'm a Crosby alum, good to see AI doing well.

Terrific post for acknowledging Ireland . I saw Ireland in 2009 at Mohegan against Windsor. It was a great recruiting job by LMU. I love seeing state kids who didn't land in Storrs step up and be successful. I enjoyed watching Anthony Jernigan also when he was at East Hartford.

His teammate on that Crosby team, Montiero, starts for Duqesne.

His other teammate at Crosby Damian Saunders finished up at Duquesne last year. He was on the nba's radar but didn't have a great senior season.
