Another Reason Kia is a Fav of Mine

I missed the first 17 minutes of today's game (I know Geno wishes he could say the same thing!). But I just hit the play back and saw Kia's first foul and I wanted to kiss her. 'Cuz what she did was say, unequivocally, was you mess with Stewie, you deal with me! We have four great years ahead of us with this Canuck.

I hesitate to rain on a Canadian parade. However, I replayed the incident several times after seeing the original post above, and I really don't think that the O'REILLY interpretation of Kia's foul is correct.

For one thing, the ECU player whom Kia fouled did not have any contact with Stewie on the preceding contested rebound -- she came in from the right side of the court to grab the loose ball. Also, Kia was just trying to stand in front of her to prevent her from breaking to the other end of the court. I could not see any evidence of a retaliatory intent on Kia's part.

It was just a basketball play, not an extracurricular event.
