I have not listened to so many games on WTIC since the Yankee Conference days. This stinks for fans and recruiting. I realize this game is not going to beat out Michigan vs State on ESPN but what of our alignment with SNY? They feature St. Bonaventure / Duquesne...Sheesh.

It's not part of standard packages. I didn't get it until I upgraded to Comcast's Digital Premier package.....or whatever its called.

Yup. I've been spending an inordinate amount of time on firstrow this month. Welcome to the AAC.

At least next month we'll be on ESPN and ESPN2 a fair amount, with some CBS exposure against Louisville at the end of the year (hopefully they don't embarrass us on national television).

There are 16 games on ESPN, CBS and ESPN2.
Last year there were 10 such games.

So there are 6 more games available to you (and recruits) on the big networks this year as compared to last year.

This year there are 4 CBSSN, 7 ESPNU, 5 SNY games.
Last year there were 3 CBSSN, 4 ESPNU and 12 SNY.

Overall, that's 4 more games on CBSSN/ESPNU this year than last year, but that's offset by the extra 6 games on ESPN, ESPN2 and CBS.

You also lose 7 games on SNY, but you have to wonder if recruits have access to SNY at all.

Welcome to the AAC? Our exposure is wider this year even when you take CBSSN and ESPNU out of the equation. 16 games to 10 last year on ESPN, ESPN2 and CBS.

Jailbreak your phone, then get the Direct Tv app on your phone. Go to Google and search for a Direct Tv code and allure you have ESPNU free. All you need to do after this part of the process is get an AV adapter insert it into your phone then connect it to the TV and now you can watch the game in HD format.

I refuse to pay for these premium channels, such a rip off.

Watching on ESPNU in FL. I've been happy with the coverage all year.

No sports bar in your area? I'm sure they have ESPNU.

Last year this game gets dumped on SNY (i.e. it's a regional game). This year it's a national game on ESPNU. Sure, it sucks some of you guys don't get it, but there is no question being on ESPNU is better than being on SNY.

Yes it is but only if you purchase an additional what they call a" bundle." 35 channels I would never watch to get one. I guess part of my problem is I also follow the women and the football team, I find overall coverage to be down.
Sorry to vent here. Hope DD comes out to play in 2nd half ...

I upgraded my package about five years solely to add ESPNU so I could get the UConn games assigned to that channel. I don't know if there are any other stations I received with the upgrade that I've ever watched.

I'm not going to tell anyone how they should or should not spend their money. I do believe however that there is a large difference between a game not being available on a given option level and not being available at all.

I switched to DirectTV at one point because they had ESPNU in HD and
Comcast didn't.

I am shocked at times how many people here are UConn fans only and not college sports fans in general.

BBall men: more coverage
BBall women: less
Football: this year less
next year more.

The new football contract kicks in next year. This year was the old contract.

I've seen more UCONN basketball games on TV this year than ever before (it's driving my wife crazy). I believe the football portion of the new contract kicks in next year so there should be more visibility there as well. The package I have is with ATT U-Verse (Florida) and includes all the ESPN's, FS's, BTN, NBCS, CBSS in HD. But, I primarily watch ESPN, although I just watched the Temple game on CBSS.

My wife and I broke down and purchased the sports packsage from Cox because so many games were on the secondary networks. The only reason we had less exposure last year was because we weren't tourny eligible.

in Albany NY, ESPNU is part of basic cable. No problem here. Also get CBSSN, SNY and NBCSN as part of basic cable.

I'm not sure if this is the case for others out there, but this season I watched UConn football and the national championship and this basketball season I haven't watched any games besides UConn.

I'm more into UConn than I ever have been but CR has diminished my interest beyond repair. I watched every BE game in the past and now I just don't care.

I get that but I also don't get it. If that makes any sense?

I understand UConn's situation killing someone's passion for college sports in general, but at the same time college sports are awesome - so how do you not watch.

I know I'm an outlier because I love mid major basketball - but just today I watched a good amount of:
LaSalle, VCU, George Mason, George Washington, Sacred Heart, SF PA, Syracuse, Miami, St John's, Butler, UConn, Rutgers, CCSU, FDU, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Purdue and I'm watching BYU/Gonzaga/SDSU/Utah State currently. When I was stuck in the car I listened to Nova/Marquette on XM.

So I get the general depression from UConn's situation... But I liked college football before UConn upgraded and I liked college basketball when UConn couldn't make the NIT so maybe I just was conditioned to have parallel interests.

I only really got into college football when I got to UConn in 05. I had meets in high school every Saturday in the fall so I never followed a team before that besides the once in a blue moon UConn was on tv and I was home.

I grew up on big east basketball and UConn. As much as I loved UConn, I loved being a big east fan just as much. Not to get all sappy on a sports board, but being a UConn and Big East guy meant a lot to me.

Big East football and Big East
basketball were college sports to me. Now? I really just don't care besides the Huskies. I'm sure I'll watch March Madness, but if I just watch UConn, I wouldn't be shocked. Sad, but that's the reality.

I have no idea what you're talking about, because I got to watch the game here in Indiana just fine...SNY is not available out here.

Have had Directv for years and get all these channels. Every time a new sports channel becomes available they add it to the lineup. With an Apple TV I can get all the watch Espn games as well. Seems to be more college sports available than ever without any additional sports package subscriptions. I feel for those of you that can't see the games you want to watch.
