Another Kentucky transfer...

Something is rotten in Denmark; I bet Mitchell's schtick is wearing thin.

This is a little strange - very quick decision as she is a freshman. But following on the other two one does wonder if something is a little off at KY.

It says she "failed to uphold program standards" so this one might be on her not so much Mitchell, the other transfer that didn't play and has left was also cited for not upholding standards. Still not sure why Harper left though.

I don't think it says that.

That was the second of the three who was dismissed rather than a simple transfer.

Three people leaving your program in short order is hard to find enough lipstick to cover up.

Kentucky Fried takes on a whole new meaning! Just a sad situation. I just hope it isn't a coach acting the bully because he can. It's a bizzare run of stuff.

Lol...Good one!

Seriously, Mitchell has got to know that this junk does not help him in recruiting. Truly good for no one and if we are lucky we'll never know why. But someone may want to tell Mitchell his cutesy videos won't make up for this nonsense in his program. And while I'm at it: lose the Brylcreem!

People are really jumping quickly with no idea that this has anything to do with Mitchell or the way the program/practices are run.
1. A player dismissed from the team ... it happens from time to time at all programs for some sort of infraction of team rules or academic rules.
2. A junior leaves the team suddenly at the start of the school year - pretty rare, and often something personal. Someone who has been a integral part of a team usually leaves at the end of a year, not the beginning, unless something pretty drastic happens.
3. A freshman jumps ship a two weeks into formal practice - puzzling. Could well be completely unrelated to the team - homesick, hates college classes, whatever.

None of them have as far as i know implicated the coaches or the program in anything untoward or as causing them to leave.
Mitchell has ten years as a head coach and 8 at KY and nothing has before surfaced. I don't think KY has had as many transfers as Uconn over the last 5 years so jumping immediately to Mitchell should straighten up his act seems a little harsh.

I don't think anyone has blamed Mitchell for anything but his hair. That was me. As we both know, in all probability no one will ever know anything. I disagree with those who say it is none of the fans' business. Become a public figure - prepare to have your life put under a microscope. Except when these "kids" (funny how that word keeps cropping up) are involved, unless say an adult in authority is doing something nasty and should be called on it...and not 4 or 6 years later. Complicated isn't it. I have no knowledge about this situation other than it is pretty strange for 3 to go out in the beginning of a fall semester from such a prominent program.

Well said UCMiami. From what I've read the first girl, Chrishae Rowe, had been dismissed from Oregon for a violation of team rules. Sounds like she didn't take advantage of the second chance she was given at UK. The freshman they just announce had knee problem in high school so it could be as simple as a medical case. The junior that left may think the grass is greener on the other side and she can get more accolades at a different school. These kids can have big egos.

Bad timing? Yes. Mitchell's fault? No.

Does anyone really care? It's not like they were ever getting past the elite 8 anyway.

Sadie Edwards left pretty quickly.
