Diana Taurasi produced an MVP performance to secure her sixth EuroLeague Women title and a third for UMMC Ekaterinburg as they inflicted heart-break on Nadezhda with an absorbing and nerve-shredding 72-69 Final success at the Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul.

UMMC ought to win every year. Taurasi, Griner, Lyttle, Meesemann, Toliver - they are stacked. Those 5 scored all but 4 points.

Compare to Nadezhda who had only Bonner and McBride as name stars.

Taurasi was only 7-20 shooting but 6 of 7 were 3s.

Together Bonner and McBride accounted for 46 of their 69 points. I did not see a free throw stat. But 7 more TOs for Nadezhda. The team picture is very sad (there is one player with a big grin - she may regret that.)
