UcMiami, I stand corrected.
I was probably a little harsh in my response for which I apologize - you hit a nerve and I had a reflex reaction that in the morning looks worse than it did last night.
Charde had a really tough childhood, and a very tough 4 years at Uconn and she survived both to thrive as a pro, and I respect her a lot for the way she handled her journey. I think Geno's treatment of her caused the most threads on here to be started decrying his 'harsh' treatment. It was a struggle for both of them and she might well have had a better college career had she gone elsewhere, but she persevered and came out of college a better player and a stronger woman. The discipline within her game she learned at Uconn served her well. I don't think she has ever come back to Storrs, but I was happy to read a positive comment from her regarding her college years a while back.

The best insight on Houston that I read was in Thomas' book. Apparently several players tried to help Houston "adjust" to Genoball but for whatever reason she did not respond.
I don't believe that Houston is playing in the W. I think she is playing overseas. She is not on the 2016 Liberty roster. I always thought that she was incredibly talented but I rank her with other UConn underachievers.

As a Junior at uconn she was selected for the USA PanAm games and won gold. She made one all star team in 2009 in the WNBA and played from 2008-14 with one championship with MN. Does not appear she is still playing in Europe and hasn't since 2011 (?)

I was a big fan of Charde. I admired what she had to overcome to get where she is today. She has clothing and makeup line.

I always felt that Charde was uncomfortable in the offense, playing the high post. It required her to think pass first and she was unable to adjust.
