Another amazing stat regarding The Streak

As per ESPN's Deb Antonelli's tweet "There are currently 7 D1 players w/ a win over @UconnWBB. 5 Stanford, 1 ND, 1 Baylor."

This had me thinking on who these seven players were. So I did some research and came up with the following:

Stanford

Kaylee Johnson, Briana Roberson, Brittany McPhee, Erica McCall and Karlie Samuelson

Baylor

Alexis Prince

.....but the last one was a head scratcher for me but I will ask the board, could the Irish player actually be Lili Thompson since the Irish ladies haven't beaten our ladies since the 2012-13 season?


This is an amazing statistic and next year (assuming UCONN goes undefeated this year), it will swindle down to three (Johnson, McPhee and Thompson).


If this has been posted already, I apologize for the post but I didn't see this anywhere. So my question again is could Thompson be that seventh player with a win?

Must be - because it would have to be someone with a red-shirt year and none of their seniors red-shirted. Had forgotten about Prince at Baylor and thought it was just juniors or seniors on the Stanford team. Since Lili isn't actually a student at ND yet and isn't on any college team currently, I would say she shouldn't be included in any list of current players.

No, she came in the following season (2013-14)

She was a graduate transfer so no need to sit out a year. Completed ND undergrad in three years.

And yes, Lili Thompson, who scorched us in Stanford, is the (now) ND player.

Another amazing stat---Uconn's streak is 72 games longer the second longest current D1 undefeated streak which is Miss. State at 18.
