Two anonomous donors contributed 1.05 mil total according to uconnhuskies.com
Great news. Between the lack of donations, the lack of an adequate compliance office, the arrangement in seating for fans, and the general marketing of the athletic programs, it is incredible that anything positive happened during JH's tenure. UConn got real lucky it had some great coaches in place and that stayed with the university in spite of his attitude towards them.

Have to agree with this.

It's looking more and more like JH was the common denominator in a lot of the hold-ups and issues for various programs. Could it be merely coincidence? Perhaps ... but at this point it's seeming unlikely.

Not sure what kind of facility they are planning to build since several others in last couple years have come in around 15-20 m range and not the 30 they are planning on spending

Here's an article with a couple of pictures of the design:

Basketball Practice Facility

"The UConn Basketball Development Center will be a 70,000 square foot facility to be located on the current Memorial Stadium site, adjacent to Harry A. Gampel Pavilion. It will feature dedicated practice gyms for the two basketball programs, along with locker rooms, coaches’ offices and areas for academic support, video analysis, sports medicine and strength training."

Who donated the other $10M??
Various people have made smaller gifts. Small donations accepted, everything adds up, all that good stuff.
